Overview
A two-day interactive course for non-financial professionals who need to learn about property/casualty insurance and reinsurance financial reporting and financial analysis. The course uses case studies to teach the practical application of basic financial tools that will enable the non-financial insurance/reinsurance professional to make informed underwriting and marketing decisions.
Re Finance attendees will:
• Learn the distinctions between different accounting systems.
• Understand the key reinsurance Annual Statement schedules.
• Analyze different types of financial reports.
• Compute financial ratios and interpret their meanings.
The curriculum development committee is working on the agenda for the 2008 Re Finance program. It will be posted later in the year. In the meantime, please reference the 2007 program agenda for content. While the curriculum is updated each year, many of the topics remain the same. Check back frequently for the most updated information.
This program targets non-financial insurance and reinsurance professionals from the following disciplines: claims, compliance, law, marketing, regulatory, and underwriting.
